Madewell: Home How-To: D.I.Y. Terrariums →
madewell: by Alisa Gould-Simon (L.A.) My personal creation—and it took less than two hours! As I’ve mentioned here before, I’m not a fan of fickle plants. I love succulents for this very reason: They require little water, not a lot of sunlight and are generally pretty difficult to kill. Plus,…

I think I'm having "the morning after"...
but it’s for a job that I’ve been offered.   I think I may not want to do this after all, but man, in the heat of the moment and having someone say “We want to hire you” it’s just so easy to be like “Awesome, I’m totally in.”   I have about 2 days to decide.

Alain de Botton: Atheism 2.0 →
I think this is a wonderful way of combining Atheism with some of the good things about religion.  It’s that common ground between church doctrine and secularism where we can share and grow using the positive, while politely setting aside our differences.   A world where positive collaboration happens all the time?  It could be amazing. I also like how he points out that just because...

Frustration
How do you get someone to notice you when your mind goes blank whenever you have the opportunity to say something to them.

One of my goals for the new year
that I’m going to start working on right now at this very moment: stop judging people (even in the most minute ways) and just accept them for who they are - because there is a whole lot about them I probably don’t know and sometimes I should just get over myself

Octopi Occupy - by... someone who is a better...
How an octopus moves Is how I imagine The coming together of us. 16 arms, we’ll have 16 torn flags Accidentally waving for something While a hundred fluttering suction cups Cheer us on. Suspended there We will think It’s a shame to have so many arms When we don’t know what to do with them.

So there are times
when I want to post something on Tumblr because I’m having an emotionally turbulent moment.  Then I realize that doing that is a completely ridiculous idea and that it’s my inner six year-old self trying to get attention. For the most part I try to be more mature than that. This is one of those times. That is all.
